Welcome to the 6-Week Challenge at Newport Fitness!
We are excited to get your health and fitness journey started! ​

Below is a lot of helpful information about the challenge and the gym. Please be sure to complete the homework items and read all details prior to your first class.

PRE-CHALLENGE HOMEWORK
Step 1: Download and Sign Into the StreamFit App.

Step 2: Click on More, Then Your Name at the top. Please add a pic (Optional) and update any other pertinent info such as your birthdate, home address, emergency contact & instagram handle (optional).
​
Step 3: Click on More, Choose payment methods. Please add a payment method if you plan on purchasing any retail items, childcare or kids classes throughout the challenge.
​
Step 4: Purchase childcare or Kids Classes (if applicable).
* Go to More, then Account. Add any children who may be using our services.
* Go to More, then Memberships, Scroll down to find the childcare and kids class options. Click Purchase. Be sure to select the child's name you are purchasing the service for.
Childcare Options Include:
Drop-In: $1.25
Monthly Unlimited: $5/month (Single Child)
Monthly Unlimited: $10/month (2 or more kids)
NOTE: If choosing the $10 option, please only purchase for one child and text or email us to let us know the names of the other kids and we will manually add the membership to their accounts.
Kids Class Options:
Drop In: $10
Unlimited: $15 for children of members or challengers
Unlimited $25 for children of non-members
Kids Classes are held every Wednesday
* 4:30PM - 5PM (Age 2-4)
* 5PM - 5:45PM (Age 5 - 8)
* 5:45PM - 6:30PM (Age 9 thru high school)
*Note if you are taking class while your kid is in kids class, we will bring them to the childcare area until you are finished with your class (no extra charge for the childcare).

ORIENTATION INFO & BASELINE WORKOUT (OPTIONAL TO ATTEND)
The orientation will count as your first class. We will do the baseline workout and go over some administrative items. If you can't make the orientation, no worries! It is optional. This web page info covers everything you need to know as far as the administrative items go.
If you wish to make-up the baseline workout, you may do this on your own either during open gym or in the back of the CrossFit side of the gym anytime OR at home (NOTE: this will NOT count as a class if done on your own). See instructions below on how to record your score. If you need to make-up the InBody Analyzer (if you purchased it), you have full access to this throughout the 6-weeks. Just find a trainer or other staff member to help you with the machine each time you use it.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASS
Click on Classes (blue kettlebell), Select the class you want to attend. Hit Actions at the top and Hit Register.
​
NOTE: We need to manually add your challenge sign up to our system. You will NOT be able to sign up for class until this is complete. Please allow up to 24 hours for our admin staff to get this added. You will receive a text message from us when this is complete.

To view your upcoming classes, visit the dashboard and Registered Classes at the top.
​
To view your past classes, Click on More, Results, then Workout History.
​
NOTE: You will receive a text from an admin each week either on Sunday or Monday to confirm your total class count showing in our system.

WHAT CLASSES CAN I ATTEND?

CrossFit* (see info below)

*NOTE: In order to attend the regular CrossFit classes, you are REQUIRED to first attend Beginner Crossfit. You must complete ONE (2-hour) class OR Two (1-hour) private sessions to attend Regular CrossFit. Exemptions applied only to those who have transferred from another CrossFit gym.

​NOTE: The 2-hour beginner class or 2-hour private session does count as 2-classes.
​
Please see list below of upcoming beginner classes. Please use the StreamFit app to pre-register for these classes. However, If you are unable to attend these, you can schedule FREE private session(s) that fit your schedule using the link below.

JOIN THE STREAMFIT (APP) CHATS!
​A fun part of our app is the Chats! This is a fun way to engage with your fellow challengers and the rest of our gym community. We have already added you to the Challenge Chat, but feel free to join the other class specific chats (CrossFit, Fitcamp and Boxing Chats).
​
We will use the challenge chat to communicate any important info about the challenge (in addition to emails and texts), but we strongly encourage you to post in there any questions you have, shout outs, thoughts on your workouts, etc.!

HOW TO VIEW THE DAILY WORKOUTS AND TRACK MY SCORES
To view the workout, click on any class within the app and the associated daily workout will appear. Click on the Graph to enter your score.
**PLEASE NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO POST YOUR WORKOUT SCORE EVER. THIS IS OPTIONAL. THERE IS ALSO AN OPTION TO POST AND KEEP IT PRIVATE.**
If it says "AMRAP" - that means As Many Reps as Possible" - so you would enter the total reps completed with the workout. Other workouts will have you enter the time it took to complete or the amount of weight lifted.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY TRAVEL OR ILLNESS DATES TO EXTEND MY CHALLENGE?
We will extend out your challenge for any travel or illness that occurs within the challenge to ensure you have the full 6-weeks to hit the goal. THIS MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO YOUR TRAVEL or alerted at the onset of your illness or injury. Proof will be required for anything submitted after the fact such as a doctor's note or plane ticket.
