Jim is our CrossFit member of the month for April! The coaching team says Jim is wonderful to have in class! He is always receptive to coaching & is making leaps on form. He is a staple in class & his consistency is really paying off!
How long have you been doing CrossFit? 8 months
What made you decide to try CrossFit? My brother recommended I try it (& NewCov) as I looked to begin a regular exercise routine again.
What did you think after your first workout? While the workout was tiring, I most remember not being able to fully lift my arms for the next several days!
What's your FAVORITE movement? Wall Walks - one of the few movements I could do from the start.
What's your LEAST favorite movement? Burpees & pull-up
Any advice for those just getting started on their fitness journey? Be patient in your journey. After many years out of any routine, I'm glad I started with only a couple of days a week (and avoided Wednesdays!). Stay focused on your improvement vs. comparing to others.
Would you like to give any shout-outs to other members or coaches? Every coach that I have worked with has been awesome, even if it was for just one class. Jenna & Taylor have provided a lot of coaching on technique & have been patient as I've grown in the program. Joey was very helpful with my daughter when she joined me in a few Saturday FitCamp sessions. I knew the Tomasettis prior to joining and having familiar faces/support as I started made a big difference for me!
